These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners SW15 supplies professional carpet and related cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By booking or receiving any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

1.1 Company means Carpet Cleaners SW15, the cleaning service provider.

1.2 Client means the person, firm or organisation booking the services or on whose behalf the services are booked.

1.3 Premises means the property or location where the services will be carried out.

1.4 Services means carpet cleaning and any additional cleaning services agreed between the Company and the Client.

1.5 Terms means these Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 The Company provides professional carpet cleaning and related services in the general SW15 area and nearby locations, subject to staff and schedule availability.

2.2 The exact services to be provided, including the areas and items to be cleaned, will be agreed with the Client at the time of booking and confirmed in the booking confirmation.

2.3 The Company will use reasonable skill and care in the provision of the services and will endeavour to achieve a high standard of cleanliness, subject to the condition and age of carpets and other materials.

2.4 The Company does not guarantee the removal of all stains or odours. Certain stains, such as those from dyes, chemicals, or permanent damage, may be impossible to remove completely.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be made by the Client through the Company’s accepted contact channels. Once the details of the required services, location and preferred timing are provided, the Company will give a quotation and proposed appointment.

3.2 A booking is only considered confirmed when the Client has explicitly accepted the quotation and the Company has issued a booking confirmation. The Company reserves the right to refuse any booking at its discretion.

3.3 The Client must provide accurate information regarding the Premises, including the type of property, approximate room sizes, number of carpets or rugs, access limitations, parking restrictions and any known issues such as severe staining, pet damage or water damage.

3.4 If on arrival the Premises or the work required differs substantially from the information provided by the Client, the Company may adjust the quotation, alter the scope of services or decline to carry out part or all of the work. Any changes in price will be communicated to the Client before work proceeds.

3.5 The Client must ensure that an authorised adult is present at the Premises at the start and end of the appointment to grant access, discuss requirements if needed, and check the completed work.

4. Access and Parking

4.1 The Client must ensure that the Company’s staff have safe and adequate access to the Premises at the agreed time. This includes providing any access codes, buzzer instructions or keys as necessary.

4.2 The Client is responsible for arranging suitable parking for the Company’s vehicle as close as reasonably possible to the Premises. If free parking is not available, the Client will be responsible for any parking charges incurred during the appointment.

4.3 The Company is not liable for any delays or failure to provide services arising from lack of access, inability to park, or restrictions at the Premises that were not disclosed in advance.

5. Client Responsibilities

5.1 The Client must prepare the Premises for the appointment by removing small furnishings, personal items, breakables and any obstacles from the areas to be cleaned, unless specifically included in the quotation.

5.2 The Client must ensure that electricity and water are available at the Premises for the duration of the appointment. If these utilities are not available, the Company may cancel or reschedule the appointment and a charge may apply.

5.3 The Client must inform the Company of any existing damage, loose fittings, fragile materials or other concerns related to carpets or flooring before the start of the appointment.

5.4 Children and pets must be kept away from the work areas and equipment during the appointment for safety reasons. The Client is responsible for supervising children and pets at all times.

6. Pricing and Quotations

6.1 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are based on the information provided by the Client and the Company’s current pricing structure.

6.2 Quotations are provided on the assumption that the Premises and carpets are in a standard condition for cleaning. Heavily soiled areas, extensive staining, pest infestation or additional requests on the day may incur extra charges.

6.3 The Company reserves the right to revise its prices at any time. However, once a booking has been confirmed, the agreed price will not change unless the scope of work is altered by mutual agreement.

7. Payments

7.1 Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due immediately upon completion of the services on the day of the appointment.

7.2 The Company accepts payment by commonly used methods such as card or bank transfer, as specified in the booking confirmation. Cash may be accepted only if explicitly agreed in advance.

7.3 For commercial Clients or larger projects, the Company may require a deposit before the appointment and may issue an invoice with specified payment terms. Late payment may incur interest or administration charges as permitted by law.

7.4 If payment is not received in accordance with the agreed terms, the Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel any further services and to take reasonable steps to recover the outstanding amounts.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

8.1 If the Client wishes to cancel or reschedule a booking, the Client must provide as much notice as reasonably possible through the Company’s accepted contact channels.

8.2 Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee, which may be up to a reasonable proportion of the quoted price to cover lost time and administrative costs.

8.3 If the Company arrives at the Premises and is unable to gain access, or the Client is not available to grant entry within a reasonable time, this may be treated as a late cancellation and a cancellation fee may apply.

8.4 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including staff illness, vehicle breakdown, severe weather, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, the Company will notify the Client as soon as reasonably practicable and offer an alternative appointment.

9. Service Quality and Complaints

9.1 The Company aims to provide a high standard of service. If the Client is not satisfied with any aspect of the services, the Client should raise the issue with the Company as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after completion of the work.

9.2 The Company may request reasonable evidence, such as photographs or a written description, to assess any complaint. Where appropriate, the Company will arrange to inspect the Premises and may offer to re-clean the affected areas.

9.3 Any re-clean or remedial work is provided at the Company’s discretion and is limited to the original scope of the services carried out.

9.4 Complaints raised after 48 hours, or after further third-party work has been carried out on the same carpets or areas, may not be accepted due to the difficulty in determining responsibility.

10. Liability and Insurance

10.1 The Company will exercise reasonable skill and care in delivering the services and will take reasonable steps to protect the Client’s property.

10.2 The Company holds appropriate insurance cover in respect of public liability and, where applicable, employers liability, in accordance with UK requirements.

10.3 The Company’s liability for direct loss or damage arising from the services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall in all circumstances be limited to the value of the services provided on the relevant appointment, or the amount recoverable under the Company’s insurance policy, whichever is lower.

10.4 The Company shall not be liable for any pre-existing damage, wear and tear, discolouration, fading, loose fibres, shrinkage or defects in carpets, rugs or flooring that may become more visible following cleaning.

10.5 Certain fabrics and materials may react unpredictably to cleaning, including the risk of colour run, pile distortion or shrinkage. The Client is responsible for informing the Company of any delicate or special materials. Where the Client insists on cleaning contrary to the Company’s advice, the Client accepts the associated risk.

10.6 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the services.

10.7 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.

11. Damage and Breakages

11.1 The Client must report any alleged damage or breakage caused by the Company’s staff as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 24 hours after completion of the services.

11.2 The Company reserves the right to inspect any alleged damage and to repair or replace items at its discretion. The Client must not carry out repairs or dispose of damaged items without giving the Company a reasonable opportunity to inspect and consider the matter.

12. Waste Handling and Environmental Compliance

12.1 The Company will handle waste, soiled water and used cleaning materials in accordance with applicable UK legislation and local waste management regulations.

12.2 Waste generated during cleaning will normally be removed from the Premises by the Company or disposed of using the Client’s existing facilities, provided this is permitted and safe.

12.3 The Company will not remove or dispose of hazardous waste, including but not limited to clinical waste, sharp objects, chemical containers, asbestos, or other regulated materials. If such waste is encountered, the Company may suspend or limit the services and advise the Client to contact a specialist waste contractor.

12.4 The Client must inform the Company in advance if there is any known contamination, hazardous material or significant risk within the Premises that may affect the safe performance of the services.

13. Health and Safety

13.1 The Company and the Client shall both comply with all applicable health and safety regulations during the provision of the services.

13.2 The Client must ensure that the Premises are reasonably safe for the Company’s staff, including safe access routes, adequate lighting and freedom from immediate hazards.

13.3 The Company reserves the right to withdraw staff from any situation where they reasonably consider their health or safety to be at risk. In such cases, the Client may still be liable for part or all of the quoted fee.

14. Data Protection and Privacy

14.1 The Company will collect and use personal information provided by the Client in order to manage bookings, provide services, process payments and respond to queries or complaints.

14.2 The Company will take reasonable steps to protect personal data and will not sell or share such data with third parties except where necessary to deliver the services, process payments, or comply with legal obligations.

15. Force Majeure

15.1 The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms if such delay or failure is caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power cuts, transport disruptions, strikes, acts of government or other force majeure events.

15.2 In such circumstances, the Company will use reasonable efforts to notify the Client and to reschedule the services as soon as practicable.

16. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

16.1 The Company may update or amend these Terms from time to time. Any changes will take effect when published or otherwise notified to Clients.

16.2 The Terms in force at the time of the Client’s booking will apply to that specific appointment, unless a change is required by law or regulation.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

17.1 These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, or their subject matter or formation, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

17.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the services provided by the Company.

18. General Provisions

18.1 If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision shall be deemed deleted without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

18.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

18.3 These Terms, together with any written booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Client in relation to the services and supersede any prior understandings or agreements, whether written or oral.
